A bit of context on this next series of photos: Dharamshala, India is where the exiled government of Tibet resides. Led by the Dalai Lama, nearly 100,000 Tibetan refugees live in this northern Indian city, where they seek to maintain their traditions and culture in exile. The long journey from Tibet to India includes a grueling 28 day walk through the Himalayan mountains. Many of the refugees make this trek as children, sent by their parents in hopes of studying their language and religion in freedom. In conclusion, here’s a young Tibetan monk playing with a kitten.

Fairytale Fittings: In one of my favourite photographs by Patrick Demarchelier we see detail of Frida Gustavsson wearing a glamourous gown consisting of a sultry silk bustier covered in delicate black lace to give a corset-like effect, as well as an abundance of gathered blushing pink fabric embellished with 3D flowerful effects and dots of silvery beads. This outfit was finished with luxurious bow-shaped diamond accessories which gave the perfect amount of sparkle to this attire, it’s dramatic beauty is typical of designer John Galliano and was featured as one of the finishing looks at his Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2009 collection under the Christian Dior house. Scanned from 'Dior Couture by Demarchelier'.
